Flowers have easily ingratiated their beautiful blooms and fragrant perfumes into our lives. We wrap them into colorful bouquets to present at birthdays, arrange them into vases for holiday events, and drape them over caskets to bid our loved ones farewell. Flowers are with us throughout our whole lives, but have you heard of Flower Essences?
Essences are the flower’s ‘spirit’ encaptured by resonance into water. It is done by floating a perfect flower into a crystal or glass bowl (uncut), filled with pure water, and left to sit beneath the sun for one hour. Some people also like leaving them underneath a full moon for even more subtlety in the essences.
The essence is then further diluted 1:1 with brandy to make what is called the mother, from which all dosages are then produced. A dosage bottle would include a 1:1 of pure water and brandy, along with four drops of the original mother solution. Typically, four drops of this is taken under or on the tongue, three to four times a day.
These essences are found to be very effective for many emotional traumas and ordinary emotional issues we experience throughout our days. These can include depression, anxiety, propensity for living in the past, &c. Flower essences can be used on conjunction with herbal medicine to intensify a desired outcome. For instance, taking rose flower essence alongside St. John’s wort tincture while following an anti-inflammatory diet to help manage certain types of depression.
